I’ve truly been enjoying the “Tell Us Something Good” theme recently, and I’d love to continue it here. As an elder serving on the Youth Ministry Team, and as a parent of two college-aged children, I have the privilege of witnessing so many “something good” moments in the lives of our youth and young adults. I am grateful for the opportunity to share just a few of these with you.

Our middle and high school students are spending meaningful time together. They are digging into the Word, building lasting relationships, and connecting with one another and with our incredible leaders and volunteers. Several adults (and we can always use more!) generously give their time to walk alongside our youth, investing in relationships that truly matter. Together, they navigate difficult conversations, build trust, and share plenty of joy and laughter along the way.

“At the Table” has become a favorite activity, where students gather to prepare meals together. They have even shared their new culinary skills with others by contributing to Meal Trains for Crossroads members. Many of our students recently attended winter retreats and are already looking forward to meaningful summer trips, such as Great Escape and the High School Mission Trip. Perhaps most encouraging of all, during these trips they willingly set aside their phones for a few days, choosing instead to be fully present in the moment. In doing so, they are connecting deeply with one another, with trusted mentors, and most importantly with God. These are some truly good things!

The youth programs at Crossroads lay a strong foundation for our students. This foundation continues to shape them long after graduation. Leaders encourage them to stay connected by getting involved in Christ-centered organizations on their college campuses or in the communities in which they live. As both a parent and a youth leader, I’ve had the joy of hearing about some of the incredible ways these young people are living out their faith.

They are going on mission trips, joining Bible studies, volunteering with youth organizations, leading worship, serving in Christian ministries, and praying with their friends. I am deeply grateful for the foundation Crossroads has provided. As a parent, I know I couldn’t have done this alone, and I’m confident many others would say the same. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. Our Crossroads youth are truly out there.
