My name is Chuck Cline and I am a 1st year elder, serving on the Church Life Ministry Team. My family has been members at Crossroads for over 20 years. As I sit and write this, I am remembering 2 fantastic weekends filled with family over the last 2 weekends.
We went to Duluth, MN two weekends ago and had the opportunity to see our son and his family.
Last weekend our grandson Jensen turned 1. We hosted his birthday party and it was the first time in nearly a year and a half that we had all our children together with their spouses, significant others, and grandchildren and what a blessing that was. As our kids get older and start having families of their own, the visits with all of them together become more treasured as they just don’t happen as often as we would like.
Needless to say, there were many photos taken both weekends. These photos are such treasures to track how little the kids are and how they grow. We have taken many photos over the years and it’s so much fun to look at them and see how our kids have changed and how much hair their dad had on the top of his head.
And so it is with our church family. Families have joined and moved away, kids get confirmed, go to high school and graduate and then go off to college and relocate. Looking through an old directory gives us a chance to reminisce and think about times gone by and how families have grown. We can also put faces with names.
Well, with that said, Crossroads is in the process of doing another church directory. It’s been many years since this has been done and many things have changed but many things still remain.
So, if you would, take a few minutes and schedule a time to have your photo taken for the new directory.
