“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.”
As a third year Elder, serving on the Church Life Ministry Team (CLMT) I have been blessed with wonderful leaders. Laurie Uhl has so capably led our team all 3 years, Pastor Anna served as a staff representative during my first year and currently Jenee O’Connor is sharing her leadership skills with our group. It has been a blessing to serve alongside these remarkable women.
It isn’t often that the secular sector of our community comes alongside the clerical in recognition of an individual. We are delighted that the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce is recognizing our own Jenee O’Connor as a “Lady Who Leads” at a luncheon on October 7. What a well-deserved honor for Jenee and Crossroads!
We all formally know Jenee as our Associate Director of Worship. That title truly equates to: She leads us in worship! She leads us in song, prayer, children’s worship—all with her limitless energy, talent, humor, and overriding faith. She leads CLMT, providing a line of communication to the rest of the staff as well as keeping our group up to date on the “behind the scenes” church happenings. In short, Jenee offers her organizational skills, understanding of big picture happenings, all the while interjecting her calm humor that soothes our souls!
Jenee has a face and a voice within our community. She and Todd have shared their gifts of music, accompanying students in competitions, as well as at school musical productions. They are currently hosting a second AFS daughter who is actively involved at Crossroads. Through Jenee’s involvement in local initiatives that support education and the arts, she continues to strengthen of the bonds of church and community!
For years, Jenee has shared her talent in worship, helping to create sacred spaces where music becomes a bridge between faith and everyday life. Her music has uplifted hearts and drawn people closer together. We are forever grateful for Jenee and all she brings to our congregation!
